Meet some of our principal consultants specialising in water reuse.

Howard Gibson – Principal Consultant

Howard Gibson has 30 years' experience in Australia and overseas in the areas of water supply, waste water and sanitation. This includes work on research, investigation, planning, and project design.

He has specialist expertise in the area of water treatment processes, water supply schemes and financial and economic project analysis. Howard has held senior government, consulting and applied research roles related to water recycling and the implementation of sustainable water strategies.

This expertise has recently been applied in such areas as community consultation and participation in water supply projects, planning and implementing public education projects, and the implementation of demand management programs.

Chris Pipe-Martin – Principal Consultant

Chris Pipe-Martin is a scientist with over 22 years' experience in the water industry, with particular expertise in water quality, treatment and distribution systems for potable and recycled water.  He also has extensive experience with groundwater and wastewater issues. 

Chris spent more than 10 years in senior scientific and managerial roles at CabWater in South-East Queensland.

He was heavily involved in the process selection, design, commissioning and operation of several water and wastewater treatment plants, including the South Caboolture Water Recycling Plant (10 ML/d), the Bribie Island Aquifer Treatment Plant (5 ML/d) and the South Caboolture Sewage Treatment Plant (12 ML/d). 

Chris has developed water quality management and improvement plans, and is a qualified drinking water quality auditor.

He has also been involved in ecosystem monitoring for many years and has been a steering committee member for the Healthy Waterways Ecological Health Monitoring Program.

David Leinster – Principal Process Engineer

David Leinster is a Chemical Engineer, with a broad range of experience in the water and wastewater industry. David has held senior roles at several UK water authorities undertaking process reviews, capital planning and process modelling. 

In Australia, David has completed several innovative wastewater projects, including design of the first Class A+ domestic wastewater recycling plant in urban development. David has particular expertise in pilot testing and commissioning innovative processes, including ion exchange, anaerobic treatment and membrane processes.
