Dr Tony Farrugia – Principal Process Engineer

Dr Tony Farrugia is a chemical engineer with more than 25 years' experience in process engineering for various industrial plants around Australia and the world. 

Tony has also been responsible for the implementation of various technological improvements to generators of industrial waste, such as detergent manufactures, oilseed crushers, dairy factories, steelworks, abattoirs, sugar mills, can manufacturers, paper mills, wool scourers and many other industrial plants. 

He has also completed several projects for turnkey installation of wastewater treatment plants, full or partial upgrades of existing plants and process and security audits on industrial sites.

Tony is a registered Water Efficiency Assessor with the Queensland Water Commission and has completed numerous process audits and resource efficiency assessments across Australia.

Antony Gibson – Group Manager Consulting

Antony Gibson leads the Ecowise Consulting team, which provides professional scientific and engineering services to clients in the public and private sector.

Antony is a chartered professional engineer (CPEng), and is accredited by QSA as a Principal Environmental Auditor.

He has completed numerous environmental audits, waste minimisation studies and water and wastewater management investigations for public and private sector clients.

Antony also has experience in process design and review for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants. 

Antony is a member of the Australian Water Association Journal Editorial Board, and actively contributes to international and national conferences in areas such as wastewater treatment, ecology and risk management.

Stuart Longmuir – Principal Engineer (Treatment)

Stuart Longmuir is a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in the planning and development of water and wastewater projects. 

Over the past 20 years, he has led multidisciplinary teams to develop a number of complex discrete projects.

Stuart was heavily involved in the development of major water treatment plants at Prospect and Macarthur for Sydney Water, and was a specialist consultant to CDM Singapore for upgrade studies for four large-scale water treatment plants. 

Stuart has led many water reuse projects for municipal and industrial clients, including the design of a zero discharge site for a major dairy processing facility with a wastewater flow of 300 ML/a.
