Community involvement – we're passionate about our community

Ecowise Environmental works across Australia, in many varied communities. We believe that we can have a positive impact on the communities where we live and work. We aim to do this by making a worthwhile contribution to these communities.

Ecowise provides both cash and in-kind donations to a number of organisations and community events. The following are amazing organisations that we support:

• WaterAid - an international non-government organisation dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people, and
• Murray Darling Association - an association of over 90 Local Government municipalities, along with community groups, businesses and individuals with an interest in ensuring that the Murray-Darling Basin continues as a viable and valuable asset for all.
• Environment Business Australia - a highly respected not-for-profit peak body representing the environment and sustainability industry.  Ecowise support contributes to raising the awareness of sustainability issues, and championing the solutions to environmental challenges faced by the industry.

Minerals Council of Australia Sustainable Development conference

We sponsor the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) Sustainable Development Conference happy hours. The theme for 2008 is Solutions Through Collaboration, which will highlight tangible examples of the minerals industry's partnerships with government, the community and other stakeholders in delivering sustainable outcomes.

The MCA's Sustainable Development Conference is recognised internationally as the leading minerals industry forum for communicating sustainable development and its practical implementation through cooperative partnerships with industry, government and community.

Australia's National Water conference and exhibition - Ozwater

Ecowise sponsors the poster presentation at Australia's National Water conference and exhibition - Ozwater. The event is organised by our industry partner, the Australian Water Association.

The theme for Ozwater 09 is from challenges to solutions, where the conference will address some of the important issues that impact on the water industry. Ozwater 09 will address the wide ranging issues that face the water industry today. These include major national water reforms, climate change and its impacts, technological advances and the challenges of human resources to name a few. Ozwater 09 is organised by the industry for the industry where the issues that drive the industry are discussed and future directions decided.

Looking after the environment

Additionally, Ecowise is focused on helping the community through Green initiatives. We recycle our printed cartridges, and donate the saved funds to Landcare.
